Reporting to the EHC Supervisor, the position is responsible for the manufacture and assembly of hose assemblies per the specification of customer orders. The role also provides assistance with receiving goods and parts into the warehouse, picking, packing and shipping parts and products in accordance with the established processes and quality procedures.
Provide superior customer service through accuracy, high work standards and a timely response to customer requirements are expected.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe working condition at all times adhering to Eaton’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Manufacture Hydraulic Hose Assemblies per customer specification
Determine customer requirements on hose kits including safe configuration of each hose kit to meet Eaton quality standards. Asses the condition and completeness of product used in hose assembly.
Pick and pack product with the utmost diligence and accuracy to ensure a high customer service level. Determine appropriate packing with respect to product, customer and destination.
Prepare freight documents based on nominated carrier. Ensure that all shipping documents, packing slips and consignment notes are correctly prepared.
Receipt and storage of equipment, materials, merchandise and similar items in the Hydraulic Centre. Ensure that items are appropriately marked or tagged for identification purposes. Inventory and company assets to be maintained and accurately recorded.
Ensure site compliance of Environment Health and Safety requirements and participate in site risk assessments within the facility.
Adhere to safe practices at all times, including the operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment and tools.
Ensure that the work area, including storage racks are kept clean and tidy and in line with 5S practises.
Adhere and abide by all on site customer rules/regulations and relevant policies/procedures. Ensure that all work undertaken is carried out in a professional manner, in compliance with appropriate standards, engineering principles and safety requirements
Qualifications
Minimum Yr. 11 completion.
Experience dealing with fluid conveyance products and technical applications would be strongly desirable as would exposure to warehousing operations.
Ability to operate machinery and read basic engineering drawings with a high degree of attention to detail is essential.
