The Role
Broadspectrum are currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Trimmer to join the Broadspectrum team on the defence contract at Amberley RAAF base. This role includes, but is not limited to, make, install, repair, replace or modify the seats, upholstery, roof and door linings, interior trim and floor coverings of a vehicle, and conducting all types of canvas repairs/modifications as required by the customer. The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday on 38 hour week permanent basis. 

Responsibilities
• To perform all vehicle trimmer trade related tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant and equipment.
• Assist in non-mechanical maintenance and construction tasks as required.
• Contributing to the collaborative innovation by identifying continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Notifying supervisors if they detect any additional equipment faults and briefing on all completed tasks. 
• Support on the job training and MRU. 
• Operating plant and machinery to perform maintenance tasks. 
• Maintaining housekeeping of workshop areas. 
• Assist in non-mechanical maintenance and construction tasks as required.
• Driving excellent Risk and HSEQ performance within the Contract/Business Unit 

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge 
• Possess a recognised Trade Certificate III of Proficiency (Vehicle Body – Trimming). 
• Demonstrated ability and experience to inspect and repair damage to motor vehicle trim and other fabric systems. 
• Basic knowledge/understanding of handling Hazardous Material. 
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software necessary to support the position 
• Current Drivers Licence, car and forklift.
• Basic understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management System desirable. 
• This position requires an Australian Federal Police check 

You must be an Australian citizen and be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Baseline to apply.
