A permanent opportunity exists within the newly established Office for Veterans for an AO7, Principal Project Officer, Employment. Designed to lead support programs for ex-Australian Defense Force (ADF) members, the Office for Veterans acts as the primary agency for the delivery of the Queensland government's commitment to veterans related issues. By working with key government departments and stakeholders, the Office for Veterans aims to enhance the provision of services to the Veteran's community.

Your opportunity:
As Principal Project Officer, Employment, Office for Veterans you will lead the Queensland Government's commitment to supporting veterans' employment opportunities.
You will:
- plan, implement and evaluate strategic initiatives and programs to support veterans' employment in the Queensland public sector
- partner with the private and non-government sectors in Queensland to promote veterans' employment initiatives
- prepare timely, well-researched and accurate high-level briefing documents, reports, submissions, correspondence and presentations on matters relating to veterans' employment
- develop well-researched project and program documentation, and monitor and report on trends and performance against program objectives and outcomes
- provide accurate and reliable advice and guidance to stakeholders and senior management on specific project implementation issues
- develop partnerships and consult with key internal and external stakeholders including the Public Service Commission, local, state and federal government departments, and ex-service and other non-government organisations to deliver effective employment outcomes and support veterans' employment across the state.
