A permanent opportunity exists within the newly established Office for Veterans for an AO6, Senior Project and Stakeholder Engagement Officer. Designed to lead support programs for ex-Australian Defense Force (ADF) members, the Office for Veterans acts as the primary agency for the delivery of the Queensland government's commitment to veterans related issues. By working with key government departments and stakeholders, the Office for Veterans aims to enhance the provision of services to the Veteran's community.

Your opportunity:

As Senior Project and Stakeholder Engagement Officer, Office for Veterans, you will develop or contribute to the provision of comprehensive advice on a broad range of veterans' policy matters.

You will:

• assist in identifying, researching, developing and analysing policy options and preparing high level advice on veterans' matters

• prepare or contribute to the preparation of timely and well researched submissions, briefing notes, meeting papers, speeches, reports and other correspondence

• monitor and evaluate veterans' policy activities and respond to requests for information and assistance

• support coordination across the Queensland Government on matters relating to veterans' policy, and liaise and negotiate with other agencies and stakeholders on issues relating to the veterans' community

• liaise with other areas of the department, other relevant government agencies and non-government organisations on veterans' matters, maintaining positive and collaborative stakeholder relationships

• engage effectively with senior officers and other key stakeholders, and represent the Office for Veterans at meetings, and internal and external forums.
